StarEngine Data Center Edition

Mail-Filters' OEM partners typically have two options when using the Mail-Filters Embedded SDK, Desktop SDK, or Enterprise SDKs.

With the Enterprise SDK and Desktop SDK; updates to the Bullet Signature Database can either be:
1) Requested from a Mail-Filters Data Center server, or
2) Requested from the OEM partner's server using the Mail-Filters Data Center Edition.

Likewise, OEM partners using the Embedded SDK can have:
1) The filtering service hosted by Mail-Filters, or
2) Host the service themselves using the Mail-Filters Data Center Edition.

The Mail-Filters Data Center Edition is the same technology used by Mail-Filters to host signature updates and Embedded SDK filtering for over 80% of our OEM partners. Now our OEM partners, using the Data Center Edition, can host their own servers for the purpose of providing updates to the Bullet Signature Database and/or host a spam and phishing filtering service for Embedded SDK customers.

Features include:
    - Support tens of thousands of enterprise customers with a single server
    - Update customers as frequently as once every minute
    - Automatically obtain updates to the signature database from Mail-Filters' central servers in the backgroud
    - Update your customers with only those elements that have changed since the last update (deltas of full db)
    - The ability to process 100's of messages per second (Embedded SDK)
    - High throughput, low CPU overhead per message (Embedded SDK)
    - Full performance without extensive use of memory (Embedded SDK)
    - Provide a full range of service to your customers in a "private-label" environment
Another benefit of the Data Center Edition is that the technology can be used by OEM partners who want to design complex infrastructures where a direct link from the customer to Mail-Filters or the OEM partners' data center may not be possible. This is made possible by the Data Center Edition's ability to be installed on hardware that is separate from the Mail-Filters SDK but within the end-users firewall network. Complete technical details can be obtained directly from Mail-Filters.
